A mobile friendly web design automatically adapts the way it looks and works to suit whichever type of device it is being viewed on. This is very different from old fashioned websites. Many of these don’t adapt at all or simply shrink the page to fit the size of different screens. If someone is using a mobile phone, the website should look more like an app does on a smart phone. On a tablet, the website design will reflect that it is being viewed on a larger screen.
People use tablets differently to computers, scrolling and tapping the screen and features such as website menus should adapt to allow them to do this easily. If someone is viewing your website on a computer, your website should respond and display perfectly whatever the size of their screen.
If you have ever tried to use a site that hasn’t been made mobile friendly, you will know how frustrating it is to do so, and how unprofessional it makes the company look.
